Smart Controlled and Monitored
Solar lights have long offered a sustainable way to illuminate streets, parks, and public areas: they charge during the day using solar energy and operate at night independently of the power grid.
With the intelligent control system from esave ag, solar lighting goes one step further: the battery's energy data can now be monitored remotely. Operators can view the battery status in real time, including:
- Whether the battery is currently charging
- How much energy was stored
- How much energy was consumed
This transparency enables targeted maintenance, prevents unplanned downtime, and supports proactive energy planning.
The requirements for monitoring solar batteries
To activate smart monitoring, the following requirements must be met:
- SLC-Hub203 with firmware version 1.061 or higher
- Hardware as shown below
Once configured, the system integrates seamlessly with the esave platform, giving operators a complete overview of solar lighting performance and battery status.
The advantages at a glance
- Autonomous operation: Lighting works independently of the power grid.
- Data-driven maintenance: Detect battery status in good time before failures occur.
- Energy planning: Monitor and optimize energy consumption and storage.
- Sustainability: Maximizing the use of solar energy and reducing dependence on conventional electricity.
